Signs and Wonders at the Gardanne Municipal Library

Michael Aliix, founder of Xposart, will present a lecture on introductory semiotics that explains how this interdisciplinary type of social science analysis applies to painting and literature. The presentation will take place on December 6, 2014, at 3 P.M., at the Gardanne public library.

The lecture, in French, explores the science of signs in its introductory elements and projects the track of its defenders (wonders), as well as the reasons why it might show enquirers the way ahead.

Subjects include Fernand de Saussure, Charles Peirce, Roland Barthes and Levi-Strauss; the road that separates their times and ours, and the wonderboys like Derrida, Jakobson, and others.
